ARKANSAS, IDAHO, KENTUCKY, LOUISIANA, MISSISSIPPI, MISSOURI, NORTH DAKOTA, OKLAHOMA, SOUTH DAKOTA, TENNESSEE, TEXAS, UTAH AND WYOMING
13 OTHER STATES ARE LIKELY TO FOLLOW.
ORGANIZATIONS ON THE GROUND IN THOSE STATES WHO ARE WORKING TO HELP PEOPLE ACCESS NEEDED ABORTION CARE ELSEWHERE HAVE BEEN THREATENED WITH CIVIL AND CRIMINAL LIABILITY FOR DOING SO.
THEY NEED TO KNOW THAT WE’VE GOT THEIR BACKS IF THEY’RE SUED OR ARRESTED.
That’s why Defend the Frontline was created - to provide direct aid to individuals and organizations who are on the frontlines of providing access to abortion care who may be sued or indicted for helping pregnant people receive needed care in states where abortion remains legal. Resources raised into the fund will be used to indemnify these frontline abortion access organizations from the risk of tremendous civil and criminal exposure, including by providing bail funds if needed.
